Introduction
I have had the pleasure of working in the educational field for 16 years. My experience began in the middle school setting where I spent 8 years and taught Foreign Langauage Connections, Carnegie Credit Spanish, Science, English/Language Arts, as well as Social Studies and Community Service. The majority of my middle school career was spent in Rockdale County, but I also had the pleasure of teaching at Union Grove Middle School here, in Henry County. I then ventured into the elementary setting at New Hope Elementary School where I spent the last 8 years. At NHE I taught 5th grade, 3rd grade, and Kindergarten, and have had experiences teaching in regular education, as well as co-teaching and EIP environments. I am passionate about making learning relevant for students of all ages and believe that innovative use of technology tools paired with practices such as project based learning can help teachers to create a personalizd learning environment which promotes critical thinking, collaboration, and a love of learning.
